Living Church

09 Sep

This Sunday at Eastbrook Church, we will begin our Fall series, “Living Church.”

It’s a given that there is no perfect church. But when we look at the Bible we can see some essential elements of a church that has life and vitality. The early church in Acts shows us some of those essential elements: life in the Holy Spirit, community, Scripture, worship, prayer, generosity, and multiplication. We will begin this Fall by looking at the church in Acts, particularly as described in Acts 2:42-47, in order to get a picture of what it means to be a church full of life.

This is what I think church should be about. Shining the light of Jesus in the darkest night. The church should “ready themselves”. Every word is a call to the church in this song.

Thanks, Cynthia! Looking forward to your role with Alpha to help us be a church on the move for those seeking to know God more.
