This past weekend, I preached a message on Jesus as the Son of Man at Eastbrook Church. This was part of our series, “Name Above All Names,” on the titles of Christ. Once again, I want to recommend that you view this roughly video from The Bible Project which condenses a tremendous amount of theology into a five minute video summarizing the significance of the “Son of Man” title.
As I concluded our series “Who Am I?” on Christian identity this past weekend, I spoke about the Holy Spirit’s role in our identity in Christ in a message entitled “I Am Filled with God’s Power.” Just last week I came across an outstanding video from The Bible Project about the Holy Spirit in the entire range of Scripture. Take a look at it below.
As we begin our series “The Life of Joseph: God’s Sovereignty in Our Suffering” from Genesis 37-50, I cannot emphasize how important it is for us to understand the context in which Joseph’s life takes place. Certainly, we must pay attention to both the historical context of Genesis and the relational/familial context of the generations of Abraham’s family. We also must not miss the covenantal context of God’s work to bring forth blessing to all the nations through Abraham’s seed. I appreciate the way that this video on the second half of Genesis from The Bible Project helps us grasp the context of all these aspects together.
As we continue our series “Unshackled: Joy Beyond Circumstances” from the Apostle Paul’s letter to the Philippians, I wanted to share a brief video from The Bible Project on joy. This is one of their biblical theme videos and, as with much of their work, I appreciate the wide scope they walk through in a relatively short time.
