This past weekend, I was at a retreat for The Ave. Matthew Paul Turner spoke at the retreat, and he offered some insightful words about surrender to God, knowing Jesus, and investing ourselves in others.
If you have not heard of Matthew or read any of his books, I suggest taking a look at his most recent book, Provocative Faith.
He is also working on another one about Matthew 5 tentatively entitled The Magical Life. From some conversations I had with him this weekend, it sounds like it will be another worthwhile read.
