The Voice of the Evil One, Part 1

What about hearing the wrong voice? How do we determine if the voice or voices we are hearing are God’s voice, our own voice, or, much worse, the voice of the evil one?

It is an often ignored reality that “our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms” (Ephesians 6:12).

This is why Peter charges the churches throughout Asia as follows in 1 Peter 5:8:

Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.

We must first of all recognize this reality: we have an enemy, the devil, and he is seeking our destruction.
