Today, we celebrate the birth of our nation with its great call for liberty and freedom for all. No matter how simplistic it might be, I am always reminded in this cultural celebration of liberty of the liberating work of Jesus Christ through His life, death, and resurrection. “It was for freedom that Christ has set us free,” Paul wrote in Galatians 5:1.
So, I’ll ask two simple questions for anyone who reads this blog:
- What freedoms are you especially grateful for in the United States?
- In what ways are you especially grateful for freedom in Christ these days?
