Saturday Prayer 3

The Lord is gracious and righteous; our God is full of compassion. The Lord protects the unwary; when I was brought low, He saved me. Return to your rest, my soul, for the Lord has been good to you. – Psalm 116:5-7

Oh Lord God,
You created all things from nothing,
You shaped my life from the dust,
You hold all time and creation in You,
You keep purpose in this all.

Come, shape my life to Yours,
break my pride into humility,
heal my wounds with gracious love,
shake my fears with kindest trust,
push me forward in halting steps,
give me sight for other-love,
give me rest in troubled world.

Amen.

  1. From the dusty place I am writing, The daily prayer above
fits well with the one below, as one who looks back over his life in reflection
    and thanksgiving of our Emmanuel.
