Brad Larson

Dear friends,

This morning I received the terrible news that one of our own, Brad Larson, was killed in a car accident during the night. Brad was a Senior at Taylor University and grew up at Elmbrook Church. A semi crossed over the median and struck the passenger van in which Brad and others were riding. Brad and 4 others from Taylor were killed at the scene. There are 4 others from Taylor – 1 student and 3 employees – were taken to the hospital.

Please pray for Brad’s parents, Sherri and Dave, as well as his sister, brother and sister-in-law, . Please pray for friends of Brad who are struggling with this shocking news. Please also pray for the community of Elmbrook Church and Taylor University, who grieve this heart-breaking loss.

I think of David’s words in Psalm 46:1-2, 11:

God is our refuge and strength,
an ever-present help in trouble.
Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way
and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea. . .
The Lord almighty is with us;
the God of Jacob is our fortress.
