Looking for God (new series)

This Sunday, we begin a new series through the month of December at Eastbrook named “Looking for God.”

Our world is crying out for God, and looking for Him wherever they can.  This contemporary longing for God echoes the Hebrew people’s longing for a Messiah, seen particularly in the prophet Isaiah:

The people walking in darkness
have seen a great light;
on those living in the land of deep darkness
a light has dawned. (Isaiah 9:2)

In the Gospel of John, we see Jesus as the satisfaction for all our searching. This series will take us through John chapters 1-2:

• December 4/5: ‘The Word’
• December 11/12: ‘The Light’
• December 18/19: ‘The Glory’
• December 24 (Christmas Eve): ‘The One and Only’
• December 26: ‘Full of Grace and Truth’
