  1. My son, born 12/26/83… his father said ” I couldn’t have asked for anything better, a son, a farm and a tractor all in one year!” I can still hear him say that every year on Jason’s birthday even after he’s been in heaven now for the last 11 years. MERRY CHRISTMAS to you, Kelly and the boys!

  2. One year my daughter, who was not a fast typist, took the time to type a paper copy of a long story I had written onto the computer so I could have a computer copy. It took her weeks! (It was a long story!) I was really blessed by her sacrifice of time and effort

  3. When I was younger, I can’t recall how old, my parents had very little money to spend on Christmas. So, cleverly, they got a big box for each kid and filled it with all of our favorite ‘foods’; our favorite cereal, candy bar, soda, fruit, snacks etc. We were so happy (mostly because we did not have to share any of it with each other). We had no idea at the time that times were tight. We just knew that we had the best parents EVER! It’s weird that of all the things I have received for Christmas over my lifetime, that Gift has had the most impact

  4. It was a 3 speed english racer that I got for Christmas in first grade. We were living on the 4th floor of an apartment building in Berlin, Germany, and my parents let me ride it in the snow!

  5. My mother-in-law asked me once what I wanted for Christmas, and I evadingly said, “Peace on Earth”. Well, she actually gave that to me! She had a small box with some dirt in it, with a small, heart-shaped slip of paper that read “Peace”. I laughed – long and hard!

I don’t know if it was the best present I ever got, but one of the most memorable!
