God in Unexpected Circumstances (Ruth 1)

We began a new series this weekend at Eastbrook entitled “Unexpected: The Story of Ruth.” I am so excited to get into this series since the book of Ruth is one of the most beautiful and powerful pieces of Scripture in my opinion.

Today, I began the series with a message, “God in Unexpected Circumstances,” from Ruth 1:1-22. The main point of my message is that God is working out His purposes in our lives and world, even in the midst of unexpected circumstances.

I look at the three stories in Ruth 1: the story of Elimelek, the story of Naomi, and the story of Ruth.
