God at Work

God at Work Series Gfx_Facebook

Most of us spend about one-third of our typical weekdays at work. The average work week is now roughly 47 hours, according to a recent survey. These statistics only address one aspect of our work. What about those who work at home, those who are unemployed, and the work we do that doesn’t fit into a typical ‘job’?

The Apostle Paul wrote to the early believers: “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters”  (Colossians 3:23).

We are beginning this Fall season at Eastbrook Church with a new series, “God at Work,” where we will approach the topics of work, vocation, and our lives in the workplace from a biblical worldview. We want to recognize the importance of our role in the workplace as part of God’s plan for His kingdom coming and His will being done.
