Sunday Prayer 5

The Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.” (Romans 8:15)

Father, we come to worship,
celebrating Your good love for us.

Thank You that because of Jesus Christ,
we have a new place of belonging in Your family:
we are sons and daughters of the Most High God.

Thank You that as Your Spirit lives in us
we jump into each day with Your Name on our lips,
calling, ‘Abba, Father’, we are Yours.

There is no earthly Father as good as You,
and all the grace and goodness we see in our earthly fathers
leads us to Your greater grace and goodness.

We worship You and love You!
