Sunday Prayer 21

Almighty and everlasting Father,
who draws near to those who draw near to You,
in Your tender love drive all fears from us
that we might serve You with courage today.
Render grace into our hearts, minds, and spirits
that with unflinching love we might share the good news in word and deed
to those wandering in dark ways.
Also, grant that we also might enjoy that Gospel ourselves
as the love offering of our daily lives
arises to You as a living sacrifice of worship.

May we bring You pleasure today, Father,
even as we take up our cross in service
of our risen Messiah, Jesus.

May the joy of the Lord be our strength
and the light of Your Word brighten our path.

Through Jesus Christ,
who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit,
One God, forever and ever,
Amen.
