When Moses came down from Mount Sinai,
he instructed the people in Your Law
and guided them into the ways of Your covenant.
He also directed them in the construction of the tabernacle
as the Holy Spirit descended on Bezalel and Oholiab,
giving them gifts of artistry and craftsmanship for worship.
The people made great sacrifices of their best possessions,
silver and gold give for the worship
and fashioned for worship in the tabernacle.
As we gather today, we are a kingdom of priests,
worshiping in spirit and in truth,
offering our best of spiritual sacrifices as the new house
in which You dwell.
Be glorified in us as we offer our best gifts in worship;
be magnified through us s we use the gift You give;
be exalted among us a we worship only You.
All this we pray through Jesus Christ, our Lord,
who, with You and the Holy Spirit,
is the exalted One God,
both now and forever.
[This is part of a series of prayers for Sunday worship preparation that begins here.]
