The righteous will rejoice in the Lord
and take refuge in him;
all the upright in heart will glory in him! (Psalm 64:10)
Starting this day lifting my head to You,
my refuge and strength.
In the weariness of my body –
the drooping eyes, tight muscles,
heavy mind, murky heart –
I still drag myself here to hear Your voice
and behold Your glory.
“In quietness and rest will be your salvation” –
so I come in quiet and stillness
to find rest in You.
You are my God,
and there is no other.
