This past weekend at Eastbrook Church we celebrated the resurrection of Jesus. It was a wonderful time of worship together through our four services. At the same time, we began a new three-week series entitled “Beginning to Live.”
My message for this past weekend focused on the resurrection and the new life we access by faith. Drawing upon the resurrection account in Mark 16:1-8, the main thesis of my message is that the resurrection of Jesus opens a new life to us marked by:
- Moving from dead-ends to new beginnings
- Moving from looking backward to our past to moving forward into our future
- Moving from fear-filled to fearless
- Moving from shut-up to overflowing.
