Sunday Prayer 46

For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. (Galatians 6:8)

Lord,
we come to You this day
to sow to the Spirit
and turn away from the flesh.

Keep us close to You
and grow the crops of the Spirit
in our lives.
We give up the works of the flesh
and pick up the works of the Spirit.

Please meet us in our daily death to the flesh
by bringing spiritual life – eternal life –
along with spiritual fruit
as the harvest of our lives to You.

May Your grace meet us
every step of the way.
May Your Spirit’s power infuse us with strength
like a strong wind in a boat’s sails.

All for Your glory
through Jesus Christ, our Lord,
Amen.
