This past weekend at Eastbrook Church, I continued our sermon series on the book of Daniel entitled “Daniel: Apocalyptic Imagination and Exile Faith.” This first weekend, “Faith in Exile,” offered me the chance to introduce the book of Daniel, while this weekend I focused on the story of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego and the fiery furnace from Daniel 3. Throughout this series, I am giving attention to way in which we experience tension between our heavenly citizenship, or allegiance to God, and our earthly citizenship, or the claims of our culture.
You can view the message video and sermon outline below. You can follow the entire series at our web-site, through the Eastbrook app, or through our audio podcast.
