When I conclude a sermon series, I usually share resources I utilized in my study and preparation for sermons. Here is the bibliography for our recent series, “Sacred Invitation: A Life of Prayer.” I have to admit that when I begin to pull together resources on prayer, I’m tempted to put every book I’ve ever enjoyed on prayer into a bibliography. While I’ve done that in many ways in this bibliography, I asterisked those books that were particularly helpful for this series, both in preparation and preaching of it.

I remember standing in line a few years ago at UWM Milwaukee to Audit another course. I said to the very elderly gentleman in front of me “I hope to be learning until the day I die!”
He turned and smiled and motioned to his
friend who he said was in his nineties who was also taking a course!
I make a sincere compliment to you “Matt” for your Dedication to “learning what you Preach from every credible source that you research!
Thanks so much, Jim. One of my goals in life is to be a lifelong learner. I’m we’re kindred spirits in that.
This is amazing! Thanks for sharing this bibliography.
You’re welcome, Angela!
