“Seeing Jesus for the First Time” – a new series at Eastbrook Church

This coming Sunday at Eastbrook Church we begin a new preaching series entitled “Seeing Jesus for the First Time.” This series runs from Easter Sunday through Ascension Day and is drawn entirely from Luke, chapter 24. We want to enter into the encounters of Jesus with people after His resurrection with fresh eyes, as well as fresh minds and hearts, considering what this is really all about and what it means for us today.

Here is the week-by-week schedule for the sermon series:

April 20 [Resurrection Day]: “Seeing Jesus Resurrected” – text: Luke 24:1-12

April 27: “Seeing Jesus as the Fulfillment” – text: Luke 24:13-35 (part 1)

May 4: “Seeing Jesus Here” – text: Luke 24:13-35 (part 2)

May 11: “Seeing Jesus as Peace” – text: Luke 24:36-43

May 18: “Seeing Jesus as True” – text: Luke 24:44-49

May 25 [Ascension Day]: “Seeing Jesus Ascended” – text: Luke 24:50-53
