
This coming Sunday at Eastbrook Church we begin a five-week preaching series entitled “Stories of the Kingdom: Parables of Jesus.” This continues our journey through the Gospel of Matthew, focusing on chapter 13. This is the fifth part of our longer series on Matthew, which includes “Family Tree,” “Power in Preparation,” “Becoming Real,” and “The Messiah’s Mission.”
Jesus often used parables – a specific type of story – to explain the nature of God’s kingdom. We will look at why Jesus taught with parables and then explore specific parables for life.
