“The One Who Restores” – a message from Isaiah 49

This past weekend at Eastbrook, I concluded our Advent preaching series entitled “Who Is He?: Titles of Jesus the Messiah from Isaiah” by looking at Isaiah 49:1-13 with a message entitled “The One Who Restores.” This is the second of four texts in the second half of the book of Isaiah that are generally referred to as the Servant Songs: Isaiah 42:1-9; 49:1-13; 50:4-11; and 52:13-53:12. I also integrated Mary’s Magnificat into the message as a reflection on restoration.

This Advent message series is also accompanied by a daily devotional of the same title written by the Eastbrook congregation.

You can find the message outline and video below. You can access the entire series here. Join us for weekend worship in-person or remotely via Eastbrook at Home.
