This coming Sunday at Eastbrook Church we begin a new preaching series entitled “Jesus, King of the Nations.” This series is the third of a three-part exploration of the Book of Acts this Fall at Eastbrook, including two other series “Essential Church” and “Ordinary People in God’s Extraordinary Work.”
This series focuses on God’s work through the expanding mission of the church, giving attention specifically to the Apostle Paul’s proclamation of Jesus as Lord throughout the Roman Empire in Acts 16-28. This also begins our journey through the season of Advent, including a daily devotional that corresponds to the series which you can access online as a downloadable resource, as a daily blog post, or via the Eastbrook app.
Here is the week-by-week schedule for the sermon series:
November 30 – “Jesus, King of Hope” – Acts 16
December 7 – “Jesus, King of Peace” – Acts 17:16-34
December 14 – “Jesus, King of Joy” – Acts 19:1-41
December 21 – “Jesus, King of Love” – Acts 27-28
December 24 [Christmas Eve] – “Jesus, God’s Gift to Us”
December 28 – “Jesus, King of Kings”
